The Mediterranean

After my early science studies with my ginger sister in the village of Pippi Longstocking, I also studied children’s literature and later film. My siblings and I used to spend our high school afternoons at the cinema, often drafting screenplays for fun. During Bergman’s setup of Mary, Queen of Scots, I had a brief encounter with him and his team, and later I wrote a screenplay for my then-neighbour, Freddie Wadling, but at the time, he was recording with Sophie Zelmani, so that was postponed and remained as my first screenplay.

Later, I was in contact with Hasselblad in my hometown, Gothenburg, who had offered me gallery space, and I decided to get back to them, and settled in London, in my King’s Cross neighbourhood, with the Waterrats down the road. I studied Film, Screenplay, and Gallery Management at Birkbeck and some further film studies at Ravensbourne with Ealing Studios. During that period, I was in contact with Joe Dallesandro and wrote a screenplay intended for him and Jane Birkin. However, Joe’s wife did not want him to work with female directors, so I kept it as my second screenplay.

After Birkbeck, Brick Lane and paternity, leave during maternity leave, as everyone else I decided work remote during pandemic, however LA band Wallflowers, well known to everyone for HQ disturbing my networking, started disturb me again, so I decided to commute to Saint Germain Des Pres to work onsite. I had scheduled PFW Men and Galerie de Buci projects, in Saint Germain Des Pres, my kid and I often encountered Adrienne Pauly and the Mastroianni family in our neighbourhoods.

I knew the king of Italy very welll, and this brought me back to my years in Lund and Anita which I have held discussion with, she was a critic of Marcello and Fellini. Yet in my Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighbourhoods, the essence of Marcello was undeniable. I wrote this book as a quiet and poetic love story, dedicated to the golden age of Italian cinema, with authentic Mediterranean philosophy.
